About Us
Group Seven Creative was formed out of a simple concept – bring together craftsmen, designers, artists, and specialty tradespeople to help create and manage unique properties and spaces. We specialize in four things – design, renovation, and property management, and property staging.
History and Services
The idea for Group Seven Creative began in 2013 with the convergence of four key projects we initially undertook for ourselves and for the improvement of our own properties. We enjoyed the process and the results so much we set out to create a business focused on applying these services and our network of craftsmen to others:
Design
Our first design project was the build out of the offices of our sister company Group Seven Consulting , see the results of the design here.
This was a challenging but liberating design and remodel of an existing commercial office space located in an old cotton warehouse on Atlanta’s beltline. The challenge here was to redesign the space to be completely flexible, while keeping and enhancing the character of the original space. We needed to plan for the biggest event or the maximum number of workers while keeping the flow and architectural history that existed. We set out to blend modern functional design with original architectural elements in addition to adding architectural elements that fit into the design.
Renovation
Managing our own renovations was a natural evolution to our work designing our own spaces, see more of the results here.
Ultimately a good final product comes as a result of control of the renovation process. As our own project manager on these efforts we were able to connect with a fantastic network of skilled tradesmen (framers, painters, pointers, plumbers) and artisans (fabricators, artists, craftsmen) who not only knew how to execute the design but also brought great ideas of their own to solving the problems that can come up during a renovation. This network is what helps set us apart from a “general contractor” and also helps keep project costs down. Learn more about our process.
Property Management
A successful foray into renting out our primary home via AirBnB led us to acquiring additional properties for use as vacation rentals. As with the design and renovation work we realized we had a natural affinity for property management and started offering these services beyond our own properties. As a “super host” on AirBnB we bring our experience and learning to our portfolio of services in helping you manage your vacation rental. We provide property management, maintenance, and booking services as well as additional insights on how to maximize your revenue and keep your place in showroom condition.
Property Staging
We have hosted numerous events and collected unique furnishing over the years. We keep these in storage for use in our properties or for your use at your event or staging. We specialize in staging the furniture to work in harmony with the event and the space. Check out our photos to see if our styles mesh.
