Project Scope: This 1000 square foot residential loft in historic Studioplex was gutted to make way for the updated design. The challenge was in how to double the space of the kitchen, bathroom, and add a second sleeping area for guests all while maintaining the open concept and flow and not overcrowding the space. All these requirements combined to make this one of our most ambitious projects yet.
Here are a few of the highlights:
- 100 year old reclaimed brick faces for the bathroom and kitchen areas
- All doors are either pocket doors or barn doors to keep as much of the space as possible open if desired
- A partial wet room created for the bath with drains both inside the tub and out
- Custom walnut countertops
- Custom rolled steel backing on the extensive kitchen island/ bar
- Commercial spiral ductwork
- Cutom steel ladder for the new sleeping loft
- New sleeping loft!
- Walk in closet
- Trex and stone outdoor patio with custom storage planters
- Art mix – Daeschler, NOS
